Friends have always called me the “Urban Martha Stewart”, but since moving to New York, I’ve felt more like a Martha Stalwart. My husband and I moved into a place that Martha herself wouldn’t store shovels for her garden. Throwing beautiful parties has been replaced with teaching myself plumbing so I can stop the apartment from flooding.
But I am determined to become a new kind of Martha. Someone who can turn a piece of junk into something wonderful. Someone who can’t always afford the best produce but still makes a great and healthy meal. Someone who crafts not just because its rewarding to make something yourself, but because its cheaper than buying it.
Someone who fixes her own sink because she can’t afford a professional….
Still good things. Just a little dirtier.
My name is Delia Hauser.
I am an online shop owner, costumer, designer, painter, baker and some other things too.

Hey lady! Where you been? Summer heat diverting your attention? I enjoy your exploits and perspective and I’ve missed it this past month or so.
Stay cool!

Hi Delia! My fiance and I are planning a wedding in nearby Millbrook for this September. We stumbled on your blog because we may stay at the Salvato Mill. Anyway, we LOVE what you did with your big day. Any chance you could share where you got the lighting (or specifically what type of lighting you used)??
Hi! We actually just used the outdoor lighting built into the mill with a TON of white string lights that we bought on ebay. The canopy of Christmas lights lit the evening beautifully. Let me know if you have any other questions about the area- Congratulations and Good Luck!
